The Steak au Poivre at Raoul’s in Soho is definitely always on point.
Raoul’s
Restaurant, SoHo, New York
Alsatian brothers Messrs Serge and Guy Raoul opened their SoHo bistro in 1975. It soon gained a reputation for serving authentic French food – the seared foie gras, escargot ragout and steak au poivre are standouts – and as a discreet celebrity hangout, attracting stars such as Mr Robert De Niro and Mr Al Pacino. It also does some of the best burgers in Manhattan, but they are served at the bar and only 12 are made every night.
