Langosteria Bistrot

Restaurant, Milan

Langosteria Bistrot - Men's Style Council Place

While close to 150km inland, Italy’s fashion capital has no shortage of seafood restaurants to trawl, and Langosteris Bistrot is among the most exceptional. You will have to cast your net wider than Milan’s tourist trail, though (no bad thing in our book) – hidden among the canals of Navigli, waterways of a sort, this tiny bistro has the feel of a set purpose-built for a Mr Fererico Fellini film. Dark-wood chairs, starchy tablecloths and hand-written specials on the mirrors; we live in hope of Ms Anita Ekberg making a dramatic entrance. The wares of the raw bar are as fresh as they come, while the homemade pastas are comforting in a way the waistline-wary locals surely cannot approve of (but invariably do).

My favourite restaurant in Milan. Best fish dinner and exquisite interiors.
