A Loro Piana Bat And Ball Set? Go On, Then…

If you’re anything like us, you’ll be planning on spending much of the next few months lying on a sun lounger with a good book in one hand and a glass of something cool and refreshing in the other. This scenario does not require a great deal of planning. If you own a pair of swim shorts, sandals and sunglasses, then you are halfway there, although some small luxuries can make the experience more appealing. And luxuries is the word. Do you need a bat and ball set from Loro Piana? Perhaps that’s not the question we should be asking. Do you want one? That’s a different matter entirely. This lightweight wooden bat and ball set is a million miles away from the flimsy plastic ones you can pick up for a few euros at the beach. Just be sure you don’t leave it behind at the end of the day.

Marvellous mules
For a handsome alternative to sandals this summer, why not try a pair of Manolo Blahnik’s leather mules? They’re more for loping around on the terrace or enjoying an al fresco lunch than for wearing by the pool, so we recommend packing a pair of rubber slides, too.
