Two IWC Schaffhausen’s timepieces new to MR PORTER.

We like to think that we have a world-beating offering when it comes to almost any element of a man’s wardrobe. And that includes accessories. And, with more than 20 watch and fine watch brands on site, we’re particularly proud of our selection of timepieces, which continues to grow.

IWC Schaffhausen is a watchmaker we launched on MR PORTER last November. Established in 1868, it represents the pinnacle of Swiss craftsmanship, and is known for its sophisticated aesthetic. If you’re a watch connoisseur, you might have heard of its Pilot’s collection (IWC created its first Pilot’s watch in 1936 and by 1948 was supplying them to the Royal Air Force). You might also be familiar with the more elegant Portugieser series, and the minimalist Portofino collection.

Today, we are pleased to announce that we are stocking a new series from this esteemed watchmaker. A refresh of a style not seen since the 1980s, the Da Vinci line offers watches which are a little more laidback and versatile than some of the more refined pieces from IWC Schaffhausen. But, given the two styles now available on MR PORTER are part of limited batch of just 1,500, they are no less special. Some of the features and details we particularly like on the Da Vinci Stainless Steel 42mm Chronograph and the Da Vinci Steel 40mm Automatic include an elegant Santoni alligator strap, a silver-plated dial, and subtle case etching which depicts China’s accomplished Special Olympics skier Mr Hou Ye setting his personal best time on the slopes. Maybe it’s time you invested.
