Mr Johannes Huebl

Mr Huebl is a model with a cool million followers on Instagram. Which, in today’s society, makes him practically invincible. No wonder he is out merrily shopping in New York City, in a double-breasted overcoat that exudes so much personality, it ought to have a national insurance number all of its own. On a more subtle note, we are stealing that suede loafer/tracksuit bottoms combo. Thanks JH.

Mr Huang Xiaoming

We’re not sure whether it’s his stance, or the effortlessness of his clothes, but just looking at this picture of the Chinese actor Mr Xiaoming at an airport makes us feel 18 per cent more relaxed. And, unless he is there to buy duty-free scotch and perfume, he is offering us a great lesson on how to fly in comfort. Draughty trousers, loose fitting knitwear and a handy jacket in case it gets too cold in the air, or the weather is inclement on the other side. He’s even taken the time ensure he has extra thick rubber soles on his shoes (in a matching red, much like these from Bottega Veneta) so he doesn’t slip on those shiny floors.

Mr Bradley Cooper

Masks must be a godsend for those famous people at that stage of their careers where they’ve ridden the initial wave of superstardom and now would just like to buy coffee without being filmed by strangers, thank you very much. Mr Cooper has gone a few stages further and, with a plaid shirt, woolly hat, and some trousers that are screaming out to be flecked with emulsion, he has transformed himself into the guy who has come round to paint your house (badly). He won’t get recognised; we get some classic workwear tips. Win win.

Mr Justin Theroux

Rocking the two-mask trend (yes, ensuring one’s personal health is seriously hip these days) with aplomb, Mr Theroux also manages to coordinate his outfit so harmoniously that his dog got jealous and copied him. (Or was it the other way around?) Either way, if you’re not a Brooklyn hipster from 2015, but you still want to get away with wearing a tiny, ribbed hat and a pair of skinny jeans, take note. Dark colours, understated, casual outwear, gloves you could murder someone with and a walk just begging for a challenge is the way to achieve it. But that’s enough about Kuma, the lovable pit bull mix.

Mr Travis Scott

Despite his rather desolate facial expression, we commend rapper Mr Travis Scott for injecting a bit of life, not to mention a sense of humour, into this line-up with his psychedelic, 1990s-tinged and slacker-championing look. Nothing says “I’ve taken the year off to play Xbox” quite like untied sky blue and pink sneakers, a jacket picked up from a hawker in Peru and a cap you wore when you were young enough to skate.

Mr Jaden Smith

We like that Mr Smith has taken his perfectly nice cable knit sweater, perhaps knitted by an Irish grandmother, and used it as a blank canvas upon which to sketch his emotional experiences of the past year. Judging by his thousand-mile gaze, getting out his frustrations in frenetic squiggles clearly worked out well for him. What’s more, he’s kept things admirably simple with ripped jeans, low-key running shoes and a sweater. While the world burns, no need to sweat the small stuff.

Mr Paul Bettany

Mr Bettany has taken the health advice and really run with it, hasn’t he? He’s so well protected, in fact, that he has had to forgo his eyesight. Perhaps that is not a pet, but an aid provided by the taxpayer. Whatever the case, he could clearly see himself when he got dressed, such is the almost suspiciously precise nature of his outfit: perfectly cut jeans and shearling jacket, matching black leather Chelsea boots and gloves (as in they match each other as well as come in a pair). Can dogs pick clothes as well as directions?
