A Few Gifts To Pick Up At The Kingsman Shop

Give your loved ones a bit of spy style this season with our secret-agent inspired collection.

How time flies. Just three months ago, we at MR PORTER were excited to be launching our very first physical retail experience – the Kingsman shop in St James’s, London. And now, here we are, about to dodge-and-roll our way into a brand-new year. Makes you think just how fleeting this great blockbuster we call life actually is, eh? Anyway, to the last-minute shopping: as we’re closing in upon a certain gift-heavy holiday, a trip to the Kingsman shop might be particularly well-advised at this moment in time. (You can get directions by clicking on the “Store” tab on our Kingsman Hub). Only there will you be able to peruse the – if we do say so ourselves – utterly unique range of new Kingsman items that were launched alongside Mr Matthew Vaughn’s spy sequel Kingsman: The Golden Circle in September. Incidentally, the DVD of the film is out soon, too (12 December, US; 28 January, UK).

For the Kingsman range, MR PORTER has always made sure to partner with the best brands in the business. So it’s natural that, when it came to producing a range of tasteful small leather goods, we partnered with British experts Smythson. The below two products – a handy box for storying your cufflinks and a travel set comprising a boarding pass and passport holder – don’t just come with the Kingsman seal of approval, but a Smythson trademark: the cross-hatched panama leather. This makes them as as pleasing to the touch as to the eye. And of course, they’re hugely useful. Who could be anything but delighted with that?

Though we understand that while the temptation to drink is already more than usually strong at this time of year, it’s only likely to be exacerbated by the presence of this appealing, hand-blown and cut Kingsman glass set, produced in partnership with British brand Higgs & Crick. So, of course, we’ll have to warn you to enjoy in moderation. But if you want to enjoy it all in moderation, immoderately, why not opt for the full presentation set, which comes with a crystal decanter to boot? Oh, go on, live a little.

The latest Kingsman film was subtitled “The Golden Circle”. That is, not “The Golden Money Clip” or “The Golden Pen.” Yet you shouldn’t let this fool you into thinking that these items are anything but wonderful and important. The former piece, a gold-plated clip produced by British brand Deakin & Francis is actually inspired by the Kingsmen’s US counterparts, the Statesman, and comes with their logo engraved on the underside. The latter, a fine writing instrument, is made by Conway Stewart, a historic company that creates similar items for the likes of the British Royal Family and 10 Downing Street. What makes it particularly Kingsman-worthy is its 9ct-gold-plated nib and band – which is engraved with the Kingsman’s favourite motto “Oxfords, not Brogues”.
