Festival tips from the punk duo.
You can prepare all you want for Glastonbury, highlighting the acts you intend seeing on the bill with a neon highlighter, meticulously planning outfits for each day, and diligently queuing at one of the mobile phone recharge tents, but the festival is really about chaos – embrace it.
A band in which chaos reigns supreme is Slaves, the punk duo from Kent. Their ridiculously energetic sets include crowd surfing, toplessness, and a giant manta ray, so miss them at your peril (they’re playing The Other Stage at 11.00am on Sunday). You might get the impression that their idea of planning ahead for the festival is to grab a handful of loo roll from the toilets of the nearest service station outside Glastonbury… But if you want to have as much fun as they look like they do when they perform, you might be inspired to leave the highlighter at home.
In our final post asking musicians for tips on how to survive Worthy Farm, it’s over to Mr Isaac Holman from Slaves.
